Born and raised in Beirut, Yamani is a Lebanese-American pianist, composer, producer, and educator whose music fuses African-American jazz with Arabic rhythms and maqam traditions in a genre often called Afro-Tarab.A self-taught jazz musician who discovered his calling at 19, Tarek has won prestigious honors including the Thelonious Monk International Jazz Composers Competition and shared stages with luminaries such as Wayne Shorter, Zakir Hussain, Esperanza Spalding, and Brian Blade. However, we encourage you to arrive at least 90 Minutes prior to your showtime in order to enjoy full, relaxing dinner service in the Dining Room right next door, before getting seated in the Music Room for your ticketed showtime.
